DYET Magazine

EDITORIAL DESIGN
2021

The use of colour—particularly in fashion and print—is a severe environmental problem. In this project I play with the idea of the absence of colour. The design of “DYET” is dedicated to the question how text, images and graphics can be dealt with in an exciting way, whilst conveying as much communication as possible, and using as little colour as necessary. The magazine deals with the origin and history of colours, how they are produced, used and applied, what consumption and renunciation generally mean, which emotions colours arouse in us, how they work and which alternatives to conventional colours and methods are conceivable.
