Neutrois Grotesk

“Neutrois Grotesk” is a sans serif typeface with the ambition to visualise genderneutrality. My goal was to eliminate genderspecific stereotypes and therefore combine contrarian shapes: the general letter set is very round in contrast to very sharp-edged diacritics and punctuation. The project is the beginning and part of my BA thesis project in which I investigated the relation between design, sexuality, and gender expression. It has been developed over the course of three years and was customised for clients several times.
